Volusia County Public Library has partnered with PBC Guru and Freading to create a virtual book club for library users and the community.
Bel Canto is the next Volusia Reads: Adult Online Book Club selection. The reading period begins on 10/10/25 and ends on 12/12/25. To join in the discussion, visit the Online Forum at https://volusialibrary.pbc.guru.
Here is the suggested reading schedule:
Section 1: by October 24th, finish reading through page 67 (chapter 2);
Section 2: by October 31st, finish reading through page 129 (chapter 4);
Section 3: by November 6th, finish reading through page 196 (chapter 6);
Section 4: by November 21st, finish reading through page 262 (chapter 8);
By November 28th, finish reading the book and join our After the Book forum discussion.

Any of the reading activities and challenges the library uses via the platform are thoughtfully managed by library staff, based on the interests and needs of our local community. When children participate, it is with the guidance and permission of their parent or caregiver.
